• Interested in Becoming a School Governor?

  We are currently looking for more co-opted Governors to join our Governing Body. You don't necessarily have to have a child who attends our school but just have an interest in education, strategic management and planning, the welfare and safety of pupils, and be able to offer some time and a balance of challenge and support. If you think this could be something for you and would like to find out more about becoming a Governor at Parklands, please contact the school office.

• URGENT INFORMATION: SCHOOL CLOSURES

  Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, our texting platform has crashed! Along with our junior school on campus, Parklands will be closed to ALL pupils tomorrow while we make arrangements. We will then reopen to all eligible pupils (keyworker and vulnerable) on Wednesday 6th January. Further information to follow.

• Welcome back!

  We are really looking forward to seeing all of our children begin their return to school this week and next. In order for things to run as smoothly as possible I would strongly advise a reread of the letters sent to all parents/new parents at the end of the Summer Term to remind you about procedures, start dates and times etc. 

  If you are a new parent to either our Reception classes or Nursery then please refer to the letter sent to you in July with your child's start date/times on (the one with the time/date the teacher would be contacting you for your 'getting to know you and your child' telephone call). These were very comprehensive letters containing lots of information so please ensure that you read all of the letter so that important information (including information about transition visits and what your child needs to bring with them) isn't missed. • Harrington Junior School

  We are sending all our love to the staff and children at Harrington Junior School. We are devastated for the loss of a school that held so many fond memories for our school community but thankful that everyone is safe. We will be here to support our friends through this awful time. 

• School open

  The plan is for school to be open tomorrow (Friday 15th Nov) if plans change we will notify parents/carers as soon as possible. Please send your child to school in wellies and with a change of socks. Children are still welcome to come in PJs for Children in Need however please ensure that they are warm! If you do not wish for your child to take part, as always,  participation is optional. We would advise you not to bring your car onto the campus if you are driving as the 'carpark' is prone to flooding. If you feel it is unsafe for you to bring your child then please notify school of this as early as possible.
