The Learning Challenge Curriculum

“You don’t stop playing because you grow old; you grow old because you stop playing!”

                                                                 - George Bernard Shaw

At Parklands Infant and Nursery school, we believe that a high quality PE education provides the foundations for children's physical development and well-being, enabling them to pursue happy, healthy and active lives. Developing children's gross motor skills from the earliest opportunity supports their core strength, stability, balance, spatial awareness, co-ordination and agility.

The aim of our progressive PE curriculum is to ensure children gain a wide range of skills. Our curriculum planning follows the TLG PE scheme which provides the skills and knowledge to be built upon year on year and is tailored to meet the needs of our children.
