Good morning class 4,
Welcome to week 4 of Summer 2. I hope you are all well and happy! I can't believe how quickly this year is going! This week the question is: Which animals live in hot and cold places? The literacy outcome for this week is to write a fact-file about animals that live in hot and cold places. In geography you will be learning about hot and cold places and which animals live there. The science focus is to be able to know and name a variety of animals including fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. In art, I would like you to create a seasons picture and in maths this week we will be focussing on introducing weight and mass.
For literacy, I would like you to create a fact-file all about animals in hot and cold places. I have attached a fact-file template you could use or adapt to structure your writing!
Example of sentence: An Emperor Penguin lives in cold climates and has blubber to keep it warm.
A seal lives in cold climates and has fur and blubber to keep it warm.
Meerkats live in hot places and they eat insects.
Remember to use capital letters and full stops. Can you use a joining word in your sentence?
