Enrichment
This year we have had visitors in school and have visits planned to religious buildings to enrich our learning opportunities within religion. Some of these link with our 'Parklands Person' experiences.
Reception children took part in a Diwali workshop where they learnt a Diwali dance and learnt about the story of Rama and Sita. They were able to perform this to others.
Year 1 and Year 2 took part in an 'Experience Christmas' workshop where Reverend Sam from our local church came in to do Christmas activities with the children and did a Christmas assembly where she spoke to the children about the importance of Christmas to Christians.
Year 2 went on a trip to the Mosque in Derby in Spring 2 and they learnt a lot about Muslim worship. This was organised through the Derby Open Centre.
