Mrs J Kent - Co-opted Governor
I'm Jane Kent, a married mother of 4 and a grandmother of 5. One of my grandchildren currently attends Parklands nursery and another has just recently moved up to Harrington Junior School.
I am a co-opted governor at Parklands having previously been a member of the governing bodies of both a local primary and secondary school. I have been employed by two local schools in several capacities including as a teaching assistant and as a mid-day supervisor.
I feel that, with age, my desire to see every child be given the opportunity to read has grown exponentially as I see the value of this skill in accessing all areas of everyday life.
I look forward to working with school leaders and the wider school community to get the best from each individual to ensure success for all.
