Safeguarding and Child Protection

At Parklands Infant and Nursery School we are committed to the safeguarding of all pupils. We have a wide range of policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and it is our aim to provide a safe and welcoming environment where your children are respected and valued. Our procedures ensure that children receive effective support, protection and justice where it is thought that a child may be subject to abuse and/or neglect. All of this contributes to ensuring that all of our children are able to be a Parklands Person. At Parklands, as well as implementing key policies and procedures, we also educate our children about how they can keep themselves safe and healthy. As part of our work on being a Parklands Person, our curriculum is therefore designed to ensure that every opportunity is taken to ensure our children are safe citizens of the 21st Century. We recognise that not all abuse is face to face or perpetrated by adults and therefore we aim to educate our children about how to keep themselves safe online and we have a strong anti-bullying ethos. All children at Parklands are taught that under no circumstance should they keep an adult's secret.

This page sets out to give an overview of our policies, procedures and curriculum content which are specifically designed to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all our children.
