For the infant school children, the bell will ring at 8:55am signalling that the children will need to line up on the playground at their class number. Parents/carers must then exit the playground via the main playground gate. The gates are locked at 9am. Anyone arriving at school after 9am must take their child to the school office and complete a 'late slip' giving the reason why their child arrived to school late. School starts at 9:00am.  You are welcome to take the opportunity to discuss any day to day problems with your child’s class teacher at either end of each school day.

School Dress

In accordance with County Policy the wearing of school uniform is not compulsory but is encouraged from when children join the Nursery. Red sweatshirts, polo shirts and T-shirts, all with the school logo on, are available from Just Schoolwear at Long Eaton, Morleys at Chilwell and Uniformality at Borrowash.  Children wear grey or black trousers or shorts and grey or black skirts or pinafores can also be worn. Red checked dresses are worn in warmer weather. Local stores/supermarkets also sell uniform at competitive prices. Shoes must be dark, sensible and weather appropriate. All school clothing should be labelled with your child's name.

For indoor P.E. children should wear tight fitting black shorts and red or white t shirts with bare feet.  This means that because movement is not restricted and children can grip with both hands and feet, they are much safer on the apparatus. Children also need trainers or plimsolls and black or grey jogging bottoms  to change into for outdoor lessons.  All P.E. kit should be named and kept in a bag on your child’s peg. P.E. bags are available from the School Office.

Earrings are not allowed to be worn for P.E. Your child’s class teacher will tell you which days P.E. lessons occur.
