ESSP Partnership
Our Local sports partnership provides a valuable service in connecting us with other local schools where we participate in festivals and competitions. They support us in ensuring we have a local network and keep us up-to-date with local events.
Festivals and Competitions
We enjoy participating in local events and this term has been very busy with local festivals and competitions.
- On the 24th September, Class 5 attended a KS1 football festival.
- On the 8th October the whole of Key Stage 1 attended a cross country event at Wilsthorpe School.
- On the 7th November Class 3 attended a mini Moovers event.
- On 21st November Class 4 attended a bike festival.
- On 10th December Class 6 attended a sports hall athletics festival.
- On 5th February 10 children from Year 1 attended a gymnastics festival.
Sports Clubs
At Parklands we offer Soccerstars sports club on Tuesdays and on Thursdays we run The Outdoors Project and SH sports Active are delivering Laser Tag for our sports club in Autumn 2.

DERBYSHIRE CRICKET FOUNDATION
Our KS 1 children have been lucky to receive 6 weeks of cricket coaching with a specialist coach from Derbyshire Cricket Foundation. The children have developed their batting and fielding skills and have really enjoyed participating in the sessions each week. Thank you Derbyshire Cricket Foundation.
February 2025 - We are having a professional athlete visit us at Parklands.
