Reading Books
In Year 1 we are trying to build independence by encouraging children to change their own reading book. There is no set day for book changing but we ask that they read each book 2 or 3 times before changing. This allows them to build fluency and develop their comprehension skills (understanding what they have read).
P.E days
We have P.E on Tuesdays and Fridays. P.E kits can remain in school until half term when they will be sent home to be washed.
